CONFERENCE & WORKSHOP

The Science Education for Students with Disabilities (SESD) would like to invite proposals for our annual NSTA pre-conference workshop. SESD has been apart of NSTA since 1972  with the goal of highlighting the research, practices, and people who care about the intersection of science education and individuals with exceptionalities. Throughout the years, submissions have been supported by research to inform practice.  Proposals can include and are not limited to:

  • demonstrations

  • strategy presentation

  • experimental research

  • action research

  • program/teaching experiences and insights

  • etc

TheSESD Conference & Workshop occurs every Wednesday prior to the official start of the NSTA conference (in the program as a pre-conference).  Attendence is free (however, donations appreciated      ).

Registration for presentations and demonstrations open in October and close in January.

Registration for attendance opens in October and is on-going until the conference begins.

Due to the continuing effects of the COVID-19 viral threat, the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) has cancelled its national conference.  As an associated group, SESD has also cancelled this year's conference and workshop.  Please be sure to be safe and follow suggestions from the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization.
